My name is Meredith Pinkston and I am a writer, or at least I’d like to think I am.

This site is not about me, though. This site is about them. The stories of people living their everyday lives, whether that be someone working a 9 to 5 at a corporate office, or an aspiring artist trying to make it big, a published author, or a thousand other different types of people out there.

My goal here is to tell their stories, as simple as that sounds.

Lately, I have been feeling increasingly disconnected from people, whether that be because of my phone or my own job, and I know I’m not the only one. So, I got to the point of just wanting to talk to people. But, mostly- Listen. Listening to what motivates people, or what gets them out of bed in the morning. Listening to their childhood or their family dynamics. Listening to what they wish they could change, and how they are growing. Listening to their dreams and aspirations, and what they are doing to achieve them.

That is what this space is for. For their stories, no matter how different they are from my own. Because the most interesting part about humanity is that we are all entirely different from one another.

No matter how hard and grueling, confusing, and frustrating this world can be to navigate, we have each other. We don’t have to be friends or even know each other at all to listen and hear someone’s story and relate or empathize, because although our lives could be a night and day different, we understand what it is like to be human.
